The fair 2017

Cosmofood 2016, 5th edition, closed with great success as the main fair in the Triveneto area in food, beverage e professional equipment sector organised by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) from 11th to 14th November.

During 4 days of kermesse there were more than 20.000 business operators in food sector in addiction to food lovers, 500 exhibitors from Italy (+15%). More than 100 events dedicated both to business operators and consumers and most of all have been sold out.

As for Business area (hall 7), the main protagonists were Leader companies for Ho.Re.Ca., food service, retail and contract’s sector. They showed installations, equipments, accessories and services for owners of bar, pubs, restaurants, pizzerie, hotels, b&b, ice-cream shops, bakeries, buyers and operators in large-scale distributors.

As for Retail area, for consumers so called “foodies” (Hall 1 and 6), there were food italian excellences, thematic areas dedicated to gourmet products, wine, craft beer, food intolerances, organic and vegan products.

More than 100 events scheduled such as seminars and professional training courses with a lot of topics: marketing, new technologies, managment of food sector, new equipments. These events allowed business opertators increase of knowledge and help them to discover last the news in their sector.

Precious collaboration with DIEFFE, Academy of professions, that scheduled more than 30 events for business operators.

Also events dedicated to gourmet consumer and foodies were very crowded: training courses, seminars, showcooking where visitors can see and experience new recepies and tendences, partecipate in tasting classes (wine, beer and saffron dishes).

The most followed event where the showcooking and course of the starred chef Giuliano Baldessari.

Room for the young with Olimpiadi dei mestieri, a competition in which 9 teams and 120 students of Veneto Schools, searched products to cook a recipe and told it on the central stage in events area.
