Allergies and Food Intolerances 2013


Dr. Annalisa Bettin, biologist and nutritionist, specialised in food Science and teacher of nourishment at a Master at The University of Siena, have spoke with people about alergies and food intolerances.

During the meeting, the Doctor explained the differences between alergie and food intolerance, spoke about "biological families" and possibly alimentary "cross-reactions". Then she spoke about intolerances in particular wheat intolerance and milk intolerance, the most common, and the Celiac Disease, giving suggestions about a correct diet for those suffring this type of intolerances. Then she explained the possibily causes of this problems and how to prevent them.

The appointment were also an occasion to present the book "Le intolleranti" written by the Doctor by herself, where the experience as a nutriniost joins that of a chef, offering an analysis of intolerances and of the methods of treat them, giving lots of tasty recipies.

The meeting was Sunday 17 November from 10h30 to 12h00 in the Seminary Area
